Laboratory spot extractors
Flexible extraction arms that capture fumes, vapours and odours at the source, at benches and above instruments.
Overview
Extraction exactly where it is needed
Not every task needs a full fume hood. Where small amounts of fumes, vapours or odours are released at a fixed point, such as above an instrument, a hot plate or a sample preparation area, a spot extractor captures them right where they are released.
Articulated arms can be positioned close to the source and moved out of the way when not needed. They connect to the laboratory exhaust and are planned together with the bench layout.
For work with highly hazardous substances, a fume hood remains the appropriate control. Spot extractors complement fume hoods rather than replace them.

Key features
Local extraction for benches and instruments
Capture at the source
Contaminants are drawn away close to where they are released.
Articulated arm
Joints let the capture hood be positioned precisely and parked when not in use.
For benches and instruments
Useful above instruments, sample preparation and small heating tasks.
Connected to the exhaust
Planned together with the laboratory exhaust and other extraction points.
Benefits
What it means for your laboratory
- Cleaner air at the bench
- Flexible positioning for different tasks
- Keeps the bench open, without a full enclosure
- Planned with your furniture and exhaust
Applications
Where it is used
Sample preparation areas, instrument benches and teaching laboratories.
Technical information
Configured for your benches
Arm length, mounting position and the number of extraction points depend on your benches, instruments and exhaust. Share your layout and we will recommend a configuration.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question that is not answered here? Call us on +91 98714 22279.
Spot extractors suit small, localised releases of fumes, vapours or odours at a known point. For hazardous chemicals or procedures that need full enclosure, use a fume hood.
Depending on the layout, extraction arms can be mounted on a wall, the ceiling or a bench, as close as practical to the point where fumes are released.
